Bethany Jacobs

Bethany is born and raised in the sunshine of Southern California. With a lifetime of exercise and sport experience and love, and knowledge of the body sciences as a nurse, she has found a way to combine what she loves- helping others and moving purposely! There is nothing more beautiful than how our bodies are created to move and thrive - from improving athletic movement to giving a weak body improved movement, Pilates is for everyone- helping with control, stabilization, and strengthening. It has been her joy to participate in the Chakra Pilates Training Program, working alongside clients to achieve their goals!

Outside of Pilates, she works as a registered nurse and can otherwise be found surfing all around San Diego.

  • Rise & Shine Reformer
  • Start your day off right and feel energized with a morning Pilates reformer class.
    With a variety of exercises and props, this class will help to improve core strength stability, strength, and stamina, heighten body awareness, and develop lean and toned muscles!

  • All Levels: CLASSIC Pilates Mat
  • Energize with our Classic Pilates Mat class.  Start your day off with the core fundamentals with support and emphasis on proper form, breath, and alignment originally created and taught by Joseph Pilates (CLASSIC).

  • Level 1.5: CLASSIC Reformer
  • A perfect level class for a beginner-Intermediate with a few classes under their belt as well as those working to maintain their skills. These classes are an extended introduction to improve core strength and stability, heighten body awareness, and develop lean and toned muscles. This repertoire emphasizes building the foundation until you feel confident to enter the next level. A GREAT transitional class from Level 1 to Level 2.

  • Level 3: CLASSIC Reformer
  • Advanced:
    An intermediate/advanced class emphasizing high-level coordination, shoulder, hip and core strengthening exercises. This class challenges your mastery of the Pilates Principles with the utmost in flexibility, mobility and control.
     
    Prerequisite: Pilates Reformer classes for 1 year
     

  • Pilates Reformer Level 1
  • Designed for beginners as well as those working to maintain their skills. These classes are an introduction to improve core strength and stability, heighten body awareness, and develop lean and toned muscles. This repertoire emphasizes building the foundation until you feel confident to enter the next level. An option for a smooth transition from private 1 on 1 sessions into standard group reformer. This is great for clients who haven't practiced in awhile.

  • ABS & BUNS Reformer
  • Prerequisite: 6 Pilates: Level 1 Reformer classes
     
    An intermediate class designed to reshape the glute muscles, lift the buns, and develop a toned, curvy backside. This exercise will burn fat as it sculpts sexy legs, hips, thighs, glutes, abs and core.
    A great workout to isolate and tone those problem areas. If you want rock hard abs, buns of steel and thighs to die for, then this class is for you!
     

     

  • 50/50 Combo Class- Jumpboard/Reformer
  • Prerequisite: At least 2 Pilates Reformer classes

    If you are looking to add a Pilates inspired cardiovascular workout to your regimen, this class is for you! The jump board is a standard piece of Pilates equipment used on the Reformers to provide a fun, challenging alternative to rev up your cardiovascular system. Participants will enjoy an intense, efficient workout that will raise the heart rate while working the core.
     

  • Level 1.5: Reformer
  • A great class for beginners who have developed an understanding to the basic exercises of Pilates and are looking for a slightly more challenging flow.  A great bridge from Level 1 to Intermediate Level 2.

  • All Levels: Restore and Reform
  • This foam roller and reformer class incorporates the principals of Pilates- working strength, stretch, and stability while activating and restoring tired and sore muscles. With the use of the foam roller, you have the ability to break down fascia tissue in this feel good class.
